The application for authorisation (AfA) process under REACH includes a period of consultation, which lasts for eight weeks.

On 9 February 2022 ECHA has launched a consultation on 13 applications for authorisation for the substances chromium trioxide, 4-(1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl)phenol, ethoxylated and 4-nonylphenol, branched and linear, ethoxylated.

Information about the uses applied for authorisation, including descriptions of the functions of the substances, exposure scenarios, possible alternatives identified by applicants, and socio-economic information, is available on ECHA's website.
