Substitution eines Desinfektionsmittels in einem Altenheim

Ein Altenheim nutzte ein Desinfektionsmittel, das unter anderem drei endokrine Disruptoren enthielt. Eine der Arbeitskräfte erlitt Reizungen im Hals und Atembeschwerden. Das Antiseptikum wurde durch ein auf Didecyldimethylammoniumchlorid und ethoxylierten Alkoholen basierendes Produkt substituiert. Diese Stoffe haben keine signifikanten Auswirkungen auf die Gesundheit des Menschen.

Substitution eines naphthabasierten Lösungsmittels für die Reinigung von Druckwalzen

Ein naphthabasiertes Lösungsmittel wurde zur Reinigung von Druckwalzen eingesetzt. Es enthielt Naphtha (krebserzeugend und keimzellmutagen). Das Produkt wurde regelmäßig manuell, auch auf eine gefährliche Art und Weise, verwendet. Es wurde durch ein anderes Lösungsmittel ersetzt, das keine gravierenden Auswirkungen auf die menschliche Gesundheit hat.

Substitution of a disinfectant in a residential home for elderly

A residential institution for elderly used a disinfectant that contained three endocrine disruptors. One of the workers suffered from throat irritation and respiratory problems. The disinfectant was substituted by a product based on didecyldimethylammonium chloride and ethoxylated alcohols, which have no significant effects on human health.

Substitution von Trichlorethylen in einer auf Druckverfahren spezialisierten Berufsausbildungsstätte

Eine Berufsausbildungsstätte für Drucktechnik verwendete Trichlorethylen für das Waschen und die Reinigung von Druckwalzen. Trichlorethylen ist bekanntermaßen krebserzeugend, hat nervenschädigende Wirkungen. Mehrere Optionen wurden geprüft und schließlich wurde Trichlorethylen durch eine kokosölbasierte Verbindung ersetzt.

Substitution von Toluol und Butan-1-ol in Farben zum Bedrucken von Plastiktüten

In Druckfarben auf Basis organischer Lösungsmittel zum Bedrucken von Plastiktüten wurden gefährliche Chemikalien gefunden; sie wurden durch wasserbasierte Farben ersetzt, die kein Toluol und Butan-1-ol zum Drucken benötigen.

Substitution von Isopropanol, 2-Methylpropan-1-ol und Heptan für die Reinigung von Druckwalzen

Beim Bedrucken von Tüten wurde für die Reinigung der Druckwalzen ein Lösungsmittel verwendet, das Isopropanol, 2-Methylpropan-1-ol und Heptan enthielt. Die Substitution von lösemittelhaltigen Farben durch wasserbasierte Farben löste das Problem: Für die Reinigung der Druckwalzen war das genannte Lösungsmittel nicht mehr notwendig. (Das Lösungsmittel wird jetzt üblicherweise durch Wasser und Ammoniak substituiert).

A printing vocational training facility used trichloroethylene for the cleaning and washing of printing rolls. Trichloroethylene is a known carcinogen and neurotoxicant. Several options were assessed and eventually trichloroethylene was substituted by a coconut oil-based compound.

Substitution of toluene and butan-1-ol in inks for the printing of plastic bags

Toxic chemicals found in printing inks based on organic solvents used for the printing of plastic shopping bags were replaced by water-based inks, which eliminated toluene and butan-1-ol from the printing process.

Die Eliminierung von Naphtha wurde in einem Krankenhaus in Madrid durchführt, das den Stoff als Verbrennungsbeschleuniger in einem Wäschereiheizkessel bei der chemischen Reinigung von Krankenhauswäsche einsetzte. Gewerkschaftsvertreter und regionale Gesundheits- und Sicherheitsexperten sprachen sich, auf Grund der von Naphtha ausgehenden Risiken für Gesundheit und Umwelt, gegen die Verwendung des Beschleunigers aus.

Substitution of a naphtha-based solvent in the cleaning of printing rolls

A naphtha-based solvent was used to clean printing rolls. It contained naphtha (carcinogens), 2-butoxyetanol (endocrine disruptor and neurotoxicant) and volatile organic compounds. The product was handled manually on a regular basis which implied a dangerous practice. It was substituted by another solvent with no significant impact on human health.
