You can refine your search after first entry for sector-, function- and process-categories. The case studies are meant to serve as source of inspiration and ideas for substitution. The alternatives are constantly being developed further. We therefore recommend that you to check in each individual case whether an alternative is suitable for your applications and purposes. Technology adaptation for arsenic free glass

Arsenic is used in special glass production to eliminate air bubbles that may lower quality in applications like electronics (TVs, cell phones, computers etc), for example. An alternative technology that maintains glass at high temperature for longer periods allows for bubbles elimination, without the need of arsenic containing additives.
