Die Nakskov Zuckerraffinerie hat Salpetersäure erfolgreich durch Zitronen- und Essigsäure bei der Reinigung ihrer Produktionsanlage substituiert.

Substitution von Formaldehyd als Gewebefixiermittel

Formaldehyd ist eine organische Verbindung, die als Gewebefixiermittel in der Mikroskopie und Histologie verwendet wird. Das Formaldehyd wurde durch ein Produkt mit dem gewerblichen Namen Fixall-his substituiert, das Ethanol, Isopropanol und Essigsäure enthält.

Substitution von Methanol und Borax in der Goldschmuckproduktion.

Einer der größten Hersteller von Goldschmuck in Dänemark hat erfolgreich den methanol- und boraxhaltigen Zusatz Flux V für Schweißbrennstoffe substituiert. Als Alternative wird eine Aceton/Wasserstoff-Mischung eingesetzt. Abgesehen vom Vorteil der Vermeidung von Borax und Methanol hat die geringere Temperatur der Schweißflamme das Präzisionsschweißen vereinfacht.

Im nationalen Zentrum für Gesundheitsdaten und Seuchenschutz in Dänemark (SSI) ausgeführte Substitutionen.

SSI hat es geschafft, Borsäure, Ethidiumbromid und Ether durch Essigsäure, einen nicht-mutagenen DNA-Farbstoff und Natriumhydroxid zu substituieren. Derzeit wird an der Bewertung einer Alternative zu Trypanblau in der Zellfärbung gearbeitet.

Bei der Reparatur oder Erneuerung der Verkleidung in Kabinen von Segelbooten ist es schwierig, alten Kontaktkleber zu entfernen. Oft werden Lösungsmittel wie Xylol oder Aceton verwendet. Eine auf Pflanzenölen basierende Alternative wird vorgestellt.

Danisco hat erfolgreich einen biobasierten Kunststoffweichmacher auf der Basis von Rizinusöl und Essigsäure entwickelt. Studien zufolge hat das Produkt keine nachteiligen Auswirkungen auf die menschliche Gesundheit oder die Umwelt und hat Verwendung in der Produktion von Lebensmittelverpackungen, medizinischem Equipment und Kinderspielzeug gefunden. Neuartige Anwendungen werden getestet, eine davonist Vinylfußboden.

Alternatives for parquet adhesive products
