“MINIMIZA-R 2010” Trade Fair in Zaragoza, Spain

The Environment Centre of Aragón (OMA), organizes a “trade fair” on 2 December 2010 to promote products and processes that reduce waste and the presence of hazardous substances in various business sectors, both industrial and services.

The purpose of this fair is to provide resources to minimize the use of hazardous substances and its waste, and minimize the risks to health or the environment, minimize management costs, etc. and stimulate the demand for alternatives. This project brings together exhibitors from various companies, research institutes and dissemination platforms, providing products, technologies and techniques that allow other companies to either replace processes and products, or reduce generated waste and toxicity.

Substitution proposals presented in the exhibition include:

  • Adhesives (water based, no VOCs or other hazardous substances)for the wood and
    the footwear industries
  • Alternatives to formaldehyde in the manufacture of clusters
  • Solvents for cleaning metal parts
  • Vegetable-based biodegradable lubricants
  • Ecological dry-cleaning (without perchloroethylene)
  • Paints and coating for varios surfaces
  • Water-based inks for printing on plastics
  • Cleaning and disinfectant products labelled organic or eco-label

SUBSPORT, together with other databases and tools to promote the substitution of hazardous substances will also be presented.
