Within the scope of activities for the integration of safety and health in lifelong learning, and due to the work carried out by the initiative circle 'lifelong learning' (TIK-LLL) as part of the Initiative New Quality of Work (INQA), a successful approach for the practise of learning and teaching in the area of safety and health has been made.

Studies of the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA) and other partners have shown that in the field of learning and teaching in school there is still an additional need for adjustment. In order to determine the degree of prevalence of and commitment to safety and health in schools, there will be a curriculum analysis in particular subjects. Furthermore, interdisciplinary measures for some selected 'Länder' will be documented and analysed in order to track down desiderata.
