The Substance Database according to SUBSPORT Screening Criteria (SDSC) is made and used in the SUBSPORT project to pre-assess chemical hazards in its substitution case story database.
The Substance Database according to SUBSPORT Screening Criteria (SDSC) contains substances that are known to be carcinogens, mutagens or toxic for reproduction – CMR, (very) persistent, (very) bioaccumulative or toxic – (v)P(v)BT, endocrine disruptors, neurotoxicants or sensitization agents taken from the following sources:
- Vela, Laborda, Garcia Study, 2003, cat. 2-4
- CLP Regulation for H334, H317 (Dir. 67/548, for R42,R43)
SDSC is part of the alternatives (pre) assessment methodology applied to all case stories published on SUBSPORT project.Alternatives containing substances present in SDSC are not subject for publication in the case story database, unless the SUBSPORT team regards the alternative to be still safer than the original substance, for the considered application. Further search for safer alternatives is recommended for alternatives that do not pass criteria applied for SDSC but also for relevant missing data.
This database includes the list version from: Feb. 2013.
